  • Are you licensed?

    Yes, Brown Property Group is a North Carolina fully licensed and insured real estate company.
  • Can I reach you after hours?

    Our office hours are 9 am to 5 pm for normal business operations. Our office is available 24/7 for emergency purposes.
  • Will I have access to an online portal?

    Yes, property owners have 24/7 access to an online portal.
  • Can you put the money directly into my account?

    Yes, property owners may elect to receive rent proceeds via ACH Direct Deposit.
  • Do I get to see the lease or sign it?

    Upon request we can provide a sample lease for review. Brown Property Group will administer the lease agreement.
  • Do you sell real estate too?

    Yes, our fully licensed NC real estate agents can help with buying and selling real estate.
  • How and when do I get my checks?

    Monthly rent proceeds are sent to owners once per month and occur on or around the 10th day of each month.
  • How is rent collection handled?

    Residents have the ability to pay rent online through their private portal (Most Popular) as well as via money order, cashiers check, and personal check. We do not accept cash for rental payments.
  • How long of a lease do you sign?

    The minimum lease term is for a period of 12 months. Longer lease terms are available upon request.
  • How much security deposit do you charge the tenant?

    The minimum security deposit amount is equal to one full month of the total monthly rent for that property. Under some circumstances, we will charge up to a two month security deposit.
  • How soon can you start managing my property?

    We can start managing your property as soon as you are ready.
  • What type of properties do you manage?

    We manage single family residential, multi family residential and residential and commercial properties.
  • Am I required to make my property available to Section 8?

    No
  • What type of reports do I get and how often?

    Accounting reports are provided to property owners monthly and are shared via their online Portal
  • Who holds the tenant security deposit?

    Brown Property Group holds resident security deposits in a trust account through the term of the residents stay in the property.
